Felpham Today

On the outskirts of the old village lies our well equipped leisure centre with a swimming pool, tennis courts, gymnasium and a further two recreation fields.

The old school has been replaced with two primary schools and a secondary school. Now in the village our wide range of shops and restaraunts are well used by residents and visitors alike.

For eating out there are: two Chinese and two Indian restaraunts, a Bistro, a fish and chip shop, three cafes and a tea-shop. Two pubs, the George and the Fox have been in Felpham since 1799 and 1832. The Southdowns is on the site of the Brewer’s Arms which existed by 1839. The Thatched House and The Barn also serve the village.

An interesting mix of shops including a beauty salon, several hair dressers, a number of general stores and newsagents, two post offices, a boutique, a butchers, a book makers, a florists, two garages and a petrol station and several estate agents.

There is a health centre at Flansham park and two opticians, two dental surgeries and a chemists in the village.
